A sweet little boy from Cheyenne, Wyoming is praised as a hero after his brave actions.
Even though he is only 6 years old, Bridger didn’t even think twice before putting his life on the line in order to protect his little sister from the attack of a dog.
The ordeal happened a week ago but the story surfaced only a couple of days ago after the aunt of the young man Nikki Walker shared it on Instagram.
attacking dog,” she wrote. “He, himself, took on the attack so that the dog wouldn’t get his sister.” As his brave actions weren’t inspiring already, when he was asked why he did it, Bridger’s response gave everyone goosebumps. “If someone was going to die, I thought it should be me,” the young hero said.
Things could have ended way worse for the young hero since he received 90 stitches for his injuries, but luckily he is now better and got out of the hospital.
“After getting bit several times…he grabbed his sister’s hand and ran with her to keep her safe,” his aunt wrote in a post. “After receiving 90 stitches (give or take) from a skilled plastic surgeon, he’s finally resting at home. We love our brave boy!”
“His wounds are looking so much better!” his aunty wrote. “He’s in great spirits, and his awesome personality is intact. He can’t smile too widely yet, but he was grinning as I read some of your comments to him.”
The heroic actions of the little man impressed everyone and so many people showed their support for his bravery.
“What a brave boy. You must all be so proud of him. Please introduce them both to a kind, loving, gentle dog so they know that they don’t all behave like that,” one user commented.
While another one added: “This young man’s story made me tear up. With all the craziness in the world, it’s so heartwarming to see such an act of selflessness and love. Bridger is a superhero in every sense of the word.”
